(Az-Zukhuruf) 43 : 76
وَمَا ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ كَانُوا هُمُ الظَّالِمِينَ
We have not wronged them; rather, they were wrongdoers to themselves.
The Impartial Lord, while teaching them Adhikr—which is the Ticket to Paradise as well as the Shield and Safeguard against all calamities, disasters, and Hellfire—had also given freedom to be grateful or ungrateful. But they became wrongdoers by rejecting Adhikr and preferring worldly and bodily life to the soul and the Hereafter. See explanation 2: 57; 24: 20; and 39: 47.
